Welcome to my site!
This space is dedicated to the art of classical singing and to the big personal journey that comes with it. I’ve come to understand over the years, how becoming a professional-level singer (no matter if we’re actually making it our profession, or getting there for our own, personal joy), is one of the most powerful paths to self-awareness and personal development you can think of.
I’m hugely passionate about classical singing, both as a performer and as a teacher. I’ve been coaching singers for 20 years now, and I’ve taken a great chunk of my teaching online over the past few years. I love helping people discover and develop their voices, and in this article I’ll tell you why I think that singing and teaching people to sing is pure magic.
I studied classical singing in Rome with Amedea Nogas-Perrino, Margaret Baker-Genovesi and Doris Andrews. I attended mastercourses @ Ateneo Internazionale della Lirica in Sulmona with soprano Margaret Baker-Genovesi, conductor Dario Lucantoni and stage director Italo Nunziata, and @ Accademia di Arte Lirica in Osimo with Sergio Segalini. I took part in masterclasses with Gabriella Tucci and Mirella Freni and I had the privilege of perfecting my art with Luciana Serra.
My performance history (2000-2022) includes opera (Madama Butterfly, West Side Story, Orfeo ed Euridice, Nabucco, Mefistofele, Cavalleria Rusticana, Così fan Tutte, Orphée aux Enfers, L’Italiana in Algeri amongst others), Lied (2nd Prize and Audience Prize at the “C. A. Seghizzi” international chamber music competition in Gorizia; two live CDs “Sogno d’amore” and “Canciones de amor y otros amores”), sacred music (from Mozart to Bacalov), Neapolitan song.
I staged concerts under my own brand, Allegro con Fuoco, in Switzerland (a portable production of Mozart’s Così Fan Tutte) and Spain (concerts and recitals with international guests).
I have been teaching the Belcanto singing technique with great dedication for 20 years now, in private lessons, singing courses, masterclasses and vocal coaching for soloists and choirs. In 2019, I published my online singing course “Free The Power Of Your Voice – A Complete Practical Guide To Opera Singing”.
I work in Italian, German, French, English, and Spanish.
